
Maple Oatmeal
1/2 cup quick cooking rolled or steel cut oats
1 cup water
pinch of salt
1-2 T brown sugar (according to your kiddo’s preference)
2 T maple syrup
1/4 tsp vanilla
Splash of milk
Instructions
Combine oats, water, salt and brown sugar in a bowl. Give a quick stir to mix ingredients together.
Microwave on high for 2 minutes.
Stir in maple syrup, vanilla, and milk.
*Notes:
This can also be made on the stove top if you don’t have a microwave.
Stovetop Instructions
Heat water in small saucepan until boiling. Add salt.
Once boiling, turn down heat to medium-low and add oats. Simmer for 1-2 minutes.
Remove from heat and add brown sugar, maple syrup, vanilla, and milk, mixing altogether.
Cover and let stand 3-4 minutes.
