Sage Butter Noodles
1/2 lb pasta of choice (I like fettuccine or linguini for this one)
4 T butter
4-5 fresh sage leaves
1 T fresh lemon juice
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 cup grated parmesan
Instructions
Boil water. Salt boiling water generously. Drain, reserving 1/2 cup pasta water.
Cook pasta according to package directions.
In a medium skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add whole sage leaves and cook until butter begins to brown and sage becomes almost crispy fried. This takes approx 5-7 minutes.
Stir in lemon juice and salt.
Add pasta into skillet and toss in butter.
Add in pasta water and simmer over medium-low until water is absorbed.
Sprinkle the top with grated parmesan.
*Notes:
Can serve with the whole sage leaves on top or on the side so your kiddo can see and smell it separately before tasting.
